



HR MANAGER: Ms. Clarisse Agliday
Ms. Clarisse shares her own experience being an HR Manager in her agency. First of all being a manager, Ms. Clarisse deals with managing people within the agency, ensuring that employees are satisfied and contented with the conditions with their employment, and creating a concrete relationship within agency. She also likes about HR is to handle people because she like conversation, understand, learn, and know different stories, attitudes, and behavior. We know that nobody's perfect, just because you are the manager, it doesn't mean you already know everything in HR fields. We are also in the era of discovering some knowledge etc. Ms. Clarisse also give specific goal that they need to achieve, motivating them and Implementing an Open Door Policy in terms of drive results. She also tells that one of the nature of her company in terms of measuring success is by comparing newly hired people vs number of resigned/separated employees. Her agency use this metrics to manage and monitor the balance of system that they use or nature in this agency.

The team also ask Ms. Clarisse about the challenges she faced in the present time of this crisis in the world. She said that “The biggest challenge for me was informing employees that they are terminated due to company losses” . Its so hard to say and to face the consequence of this pandemic but we need to accept it, and adjust on what happenings right now. She also gives the team on what the traits to achieve of being a successful HR manager, the dedication to work and skills in doing and completing task.

HR MANAGER: Mrs. Rosalyn Young-Patricio
Mrs.Patricio’s company went through a lot during this pandemic. From having a skeletal workforce to being forced to lay off some of our workers. Every employee's mental health was heavily affected thinking what might happen next. Thinking either somebody from them might contract the virus or get laid off from work. As an HR Manager, she always remind the employees with what they can accomplish pre-pandemic. She always remind them about their vision, and that the company will always there for them no matter what.

According to Mrs.Patricio, working as HR Manager is different from any other jobs. The respect is quite high. Sometimes, it even make her feel that she’s one of the boss. She reminded us that being an HR doesn’t make you one. Others might still report you to the higher ups if you abuse your authority. She reminded us that we are still an employee, and we are replaceable.
“The success of the workers is the success of our department. We always make sure that everyone is abundantly compensated for their hardwork,” Mrs. Patricio reiterated. Asking her what the toughest challenge might be she encountered during this time of crisis, “Wearing face mask and that stupid face shield,” she answered while laughing. It’s also a challenge that they have to layoff some workers and work on skeletal schedule.
For Mrs.Patricio, there is only one tangible trait of a good Human Resource practitioner, it’s GOOD CHARACTER. She believes that if you live your life with honesty and kindness to other, good character will naturally come out from you.

HR MANAGER: Mr. Dante Alzaga
Mr. Dante Alzaga shares his experience being a store proprietor. He believes that his organization has their best interest in mind when making a business decisions because he said that his profession and passion is to do business. When you love doing your business it became your passion and you’re enjoying it. During this pandemic times he doesn’t get affected of the Covid-19 in terms of organizing and managing both his business and people. Because they always maintain an adequate communication with all of his employees and he used to be an organize manager and he added that “I’m doing it for a million times and I’ve been operating my business for 24/7. I’m always prepared for any situation might happen and I know how to handle it”.
During this pandemic Mr. Dante still continues to collaborate with his employees and he still manage to maintain what they used to do amid the pandemic. He’s style on managing his business is to always be organized and strictly moderate, and he is always open for improvements and changes when it came to growing his business.
